Tie-dye, decoupage, hemp, batik, bead jewelry, sculpture,
glass etching and mosaic tiles are just a few of the options
for you. Do a new project or two each day and take your work

Culinary Arts
Give your taste buds a treat! Savor new taste sensations as
you prepare some of your favorite foods, and some new ones,
too. Plan menus, purchase supplies, and cook something different
each day. You’ll learn several cooking techniques, experiment
with a variety of ethnic foods, and take home recipes of the

2-D Arts
Express your creativity through 2-dimensional art media. Talented
local artists will teach techniques in drawing, painting,
print-making, and photography. Wrap up the session with a
trip to the Tacoma Art Museum. More

3-D Arts
Explore the world of art in three dimensions! Local artists
will teach you to sculpt, carve and weave in a variety of
media. Experiment with plaster sculpture, wood carving, masks,
polymer clay, knitting/crochet, and ceramics. A highlight
is a trip to the Museum of Glass in Tacoma. More

Photo Phun
Session 5/6 Co-ed Grades 8-10
Capture the essence of Sealth through photography. Working
with a skilled photographer…shoot, shoot and shoot some
more! Create your own black & white prints in the darkroom,
learn techniques for taking great pictures, and even create
a slide show to share with the rest of camp. Take a trip to
visit a professional studio.

Archery
Session 3 Co-ed Grades 7-9
Shooting, archery games, and archery crafts highlight an exciting
session of Archery Camp. Spend 2 hours each day on our range
perfecting your shot with skilled and fun instructors. Make
quivers, shoot at pop cans, learn to use sights and shoot
at night. All levels of shooters welcome!

Session 8 Co-ed Grades 8-10
Have you ever felt like archery was just not challenging enough?
Then try this advanced archery program. Focus on developing
new skills, spend more time at the range, and play lots of
archery games and do all the archery craft projects that you

Volleyball
This exclusive and fun volleyball program is in our relaxed
and open environment to help you gain new skills and practice
others. Our sand court is ideal for those 2-3 hour daily sessions
where an experienced coach will work with you on techniques,
sportsmanship and fitness. Here enjoy all the other wonders
that Sealth has to offer and complete the week with the renowned

Boating
Canoe and Kayak
Session 4 Co-ed Grades 6-7
Have the opportunity to spend a week on the water. Working
with skilled coaches, on dry land and on the water, learn
to canoe and kayak, and spend an overnight on Maury Island using
sea kayaks as your transportation. Become acquainted with
boating and learn to be safe on the water. Staying in Kiwanis
Lodge and the teepees will round out your session perfectly!

Session 7 Co-ed Grades 9-12
Designed for the slightly younger audience, we offer Windsurf
and Sail. Using our mile and a half waterfront, experience
the thrill of rushing wind and water as you learn to windsurf
with an experienced coach. Take hold of the rudder and learn
to sail on Sealth’s boats. Also take a day trip on the
water to either Lisabeula Park or Blake Island, and live out
our other waterfront programs in a truly wet and wild week! More details...

Nocturnal Camp

Have you ever wondered what happens when all is dark and the
world seems to sleep? At Sealth we offer a unique opportunity
to explore the wonders of the night. Experience a local wolf
sanctuary, learn about nocturnal animals and birds, and tailor
your sleep pattern to witness and participate in nocturnal
activities. To complete your week with us here, partake in
a 24-hour day, capped off beautifully with a marvelous sunrise

Traverse the wood of Olympic National Park with a furry travel
companion...a llama! You'll be paired with your own llama
to carry your pack on this three-day trek on the Whiskey Bend

Raft this sunny Oregon river with its spectacular canyons
and scenery for three days. Float some calm sections and ride
thrilling rapids. Find great swimming areas and places to
hike from your campsites. Sealth staff and professional river

Outback
Every day is a new adventure as you learn wilderness skills camping out at primitive Sealth locations. Build shelters, use compasses, make fire using a bow drill or flint and steel, cook your meals, and learn uses of native plants. Explore the outdoors! |
