This child care center is in its ninth year of operation and is located in its own wonderful space in John Muir Elementary School. Children enrolled in Kids’ Corner have access to a covered play court, the school gym and outdoor facilities.    This child care center is in its eleventh year of operation and is located in its own wonderful space at Olympic View Elementary School. Children enrolled in Kids’ Club have access to the school gym and outdoor facilities.

    Since 1989, Camp Fire USA’s licensed Child Care Centers have been a part of our family of program. Children learn decision-making skills, enhance their self esteem, explore individual interests and have lots of fun! Activities include creative arts, science activities, indoor and outdoor games, cooking, homework help and much more. A nutritious breakfast and an afternoon snack are provided. We maintain a low child-to-staff ratio, and our staff is sensitive and well-trained. Parents and guardians can relax knowing their children are in a clean, safe and caring environment. The programs remain open during winter, mid-winter and spring breaks, no classes days and early dismissals (excluding holidays). Part-time options are available in some programs. Financial assistance can be applied for through the Department of Social and Health Services and the Seattle and King County Department of Housing and Human Services. Child Care registration fees include Camp Fire membership.

    School Year Program
    The Preschool Program provides a positive environment that supports children’s physical, social, intellectual and emotional growth. Developmentally appropriate activities are conducted daily. Olympic View only.

    The School-Age Program provides before and after school care that offers children a variety of opportunities to explore individual interests, participate in group activities and have lots of fun.

    Summer Program
    This program is for kids entering kindergarten in fall through age 12.

    There are exciting field trips every week, outdoor excursions, creative arts, games, science projects, cooking and weekly swimming. Our experienced staff plan theme-based enrichment activities in the summer to contrast, but complement, your child’s school-year experience.

    We provide low staff-to-child ratios, a safe environment, and quality programs that families have come to expect from us. Breakfast and an afternoon snack will be provided; qualifying sites will receive summer sack lunches. Open all 10 weeks of summer - choose one or more weeks

    Program hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. except on July 3rd and 4th, when we will be closed for the Independence Day holiday. Part-time care may be available on a limited basis. Preference will be given to full-time enrollees.

    Fees: Each one-week session, five days per week, is $145. A $15 per-week non-refundable deposit is required at the time of registration (and is applied to summer tuition).
